World Sensorium

World Sensorium, created by interdisciplinary artist Gayil Nalls, is a large-scale olfactory art project that combines ethnobotanical research with sensory experience. The project involved identifying culturally significant aromatic plants from 225 countries, with each plant’s inclusion proportionate to the country’s population. The resulting scent composition was designed to evoke collective memory and cultural identity through the sense of smell.
