Where We Meet is a sculptural installation that invites visitors to donate water from any body of water important to them to the fountain, then dip the PH-colored textile in the fountain’s water and hang it on the wall.
With the action, we want the audience to reflect on their local and intimate closeness to the water, which meets worldwide in different forms and in the gallery through their donations. We and all waters are connected, and we meet in various ways.
The textile is coloured with red cabbage, which is a natural PH indicator. The colour can vary from pink, blue, yellow and green, depending on the PH value in the water. In this way, the textile becomes a memory and an imprint from the donation.
