When I first heard Dave’s vocals, I was blown away by how rich and beautiful they sounded. It inspired me to create a world where his voice could thrive outside the grid, blending seamlessly into an organic soundscape while still keeping a song structure. To build this universe, I made an orchestra of tape devices that play various generative synth and piano parts. I also added artificial birds from my collection and a couple of field recordings, including the ambiances of a spring forest, Malibu Creek, Joshua Tree National Park, and the nighttime sounds of the Portuguese countryside.
